of alcohol is a major problem in the UK. The tasks
below will help you discover the damage it can do to
your body, your family, your friends and the wider
community.
Your teacher will give you the quiz leaflet shown on the
right OR display the leaflet on a white-board. Answer
the questions carefully.

Write down six serious problems that can result when
young people misuse alcohol. They may be problems
for the young people themselves, their friends or
family, or for the community in which they live.
With each problem, include a sentence which explains why
it is serious.
Look
at the picture. It shows two healthy teenagers who
enjoy being with each other.
Now write a story of around 500 words in which their
lives are affected in a major way by the misuse of
alcohol.
If you prefer, you could write a short play instead.
