Smoking
Smoking
remains one of the main killers in the UK today.
It is also very expensive, highly addictive and even
gives young people bad breath! Despite all of
this, some school pupils continue to smoke.

Anti-smoking videos
Your class will watch a number of short anti-smoking
videos on the whiteboard. You will watch them all
in turn.
We will then
go back and watch each of them again. As you do so,
give each a mark out of 10 on how effective you think it
would be in persuading people to stop smoking or not to
start smoking in the first place.
Along with each mark write a sentence explaining why you
gave it that score.
Next team up with a classmate to discuss your results
and see if you can agree on the scores to give each
video. (If you can't agree, stick with your own
score.) Which did you give the highest
mark to?
The videos you will watch are:
Video 1:
Second Hand Smoke
Video 2:
Children
Video 3:
Artery
Video 4:
Teenage Girl
Video 5:
Children Copy Adults
Video 6:
Mouth Cancer
Video 7:
